Play Passion Project ("we," "us," "our") runs the Play Passion Project mobile app (the "App"), a youth-led community for collecting and distributing shoe donations. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App you agree to this policy.

Who can use the App
The App is intended for people 13 years of age or older. If you are under 13, please do not create an account or use the App. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete it.
Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and a password (handled securely by our authentication provider and never visible to us).
Profile information. Your chosen avatar, and activity such as points, badges, level, and the drives you help run.
Content you create. Posts and chat messages you write, and photos you choose to upload. This content is visible to other signed-in users.
Photos and camera. If you add a photo to a post, we access your camera or photo library only for the photo you select. We do not scan or upload any other photos.
Contacts. If you use "Invite friends," the App reads your contacts on your device so you can choose who to invite. Your contacts are not uploaded to or stored on our servers. We only send the invitation you choose to send, through your own messaging app.
Location. The drop-off map can show your approximate location to help you find nearby drives. Location is used on your device and is not stored by us. You can decline location access and still use the map.
Usage information. Basic technical information needed to operate the App.
How we use information
To create and manage your account; show community features (drive pages, posts, chat, events, leaderboard); award and display points and badges; keep the community safe; and provide support. We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
How information is shared
With other users: your name, avatar, points, and any posts or messages you create are visible to other signed-in users.
With service providers: we use Google Firebase (authentication and database) to operate the App. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
For legal reasons: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect our community.
Your choices and rights
Edit your profile any time. Delete your account in the App under Profile (this permanently removes your profile, points, and badges). Report or block other users from the "..." menu on any post or message. Manage permissions in your device Settings. Contact us at rami@playpassionproject.com with questions about your data.
Data retention
We keep your account information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile information. Moderation records may be retained to keep the community safe.
Security
We use industry-standard measures provided by Firebase to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
